How Do I Get Into Music?
There are a lot of people that ask themselves: “How do I get into music?” And I would say the answer is pretty simple: GET INTO MUSIC! There are so many guides out there to help creatives if they want to become something of an artist. The resources on youtube are absolutely incredible if you are able to piece together how to inject that knowledge into your mind and mix and match. This is the information age and there is so much knowledge out there that you really only need to practice even A LITTLE bit a day in order to get better with this hobby.
For myself? I’ve been going at music since about early June and just slowly learning and building up my skill in order to get into improving my sounds. I’ve been listening to podcast from other musicians, googling up music theory, watching videos on youtube on how to use daw’s/music theory/effects and different types of things to continue to invest in myself so that I can be happy. As I know that once I’m fully into music, my happiness will be assured as I feel like it is my duty in life to create and produce things for the world to enjoy. So, in order to do that, I have to invest in myself and put the energy and time aside.
As, if you want to get into this, you ARE going to find a way to make time for it in your day. It doesn’t matter if you have a 9 to 5 job, busy out the asshole or whatever else have you; if it’s important, you’ll do it. If it’s not important, you won’t do it. There is no getting around this fact because of the fact that this comes from passion, love and the desire to want to create in the world. If you are just trying to make a quick buck or something, you won’t last long in my opinion. As I see this as a long venture ahead of myself, but I’m fueled by wanting to see how my skill will develop and expand as every new thing I learn is like a lego piece being put together in order to make the pillar of my musical ability ascend to the top.
Therefore, if you want to get into music, you need to just take the first step and begin trying. So, I’m going to step off my podium and give you a few resources that helped me
